All potential staff of the Commission are subject to probity and background checks to ensure that they are not individuals of questionable characters. We do the checks in collaboration with other security agencies such as the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) and the Office of National Security (ONS). A job applicant who has successfully gone through the recruitment process will only be offered a permanent contract after satisfactory probity and background checks. Staff are also subject to further checks if they are being investigated by the Commission.
