ANTI - CORRUPTION COMMISSION CATHEDRAL HOUSE 3 GLOUCESTER STREET FREETOWN SIERRA LEONE, WEST AFRICA 13 th November, 2018 PRESS RELEASE ACC SECURES CUSTODIAL SENTENCE FOR IMPERSONATION The High Court of Sierra Leone , Holden at Ross Road in Freetown , and presided over by the Honourable Justice Alfred Ganda , on Tuesday 13 th No vember 2018 , sentenced Ibrahim Suma h to a two - year jail term. Suma was convicted on two counts of impersonation of an O fficer of the Anti - Corruption Commission (ACC) , contrary to S ection 76 of the Anti - Corr uption Act of 200 8 . B etween the 1st and 3 1st Janu ary 2017 , the convict impersonated an O fficer of the ACC to extort money from a business woman in Freetown . Meanwhile, person(s) enga ged , or intending to engage, in the impersonation of ACC staff are further warned to desist forthwith , or face the full pen alty of the law . The Commission was represented by Lawyer N.B.E . Davie s , whilst the defendant was represented by Lawyer Claudius Campbell .
