Pujehun- 22nd. April 2021
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Augustine Foday Ngobie, together with Director, Public Education and Outreach, Patrick Sandi has on Thursday 22nd April 2021, commenced the strategic monitoring of the payments to beneficiaries of the Social Safety Net (SSN) COVID 19 which is in the value of One Million, Three Hundred and Nine Thousand Leones (Le1,309,000).
The said SSN funds are provided by the World Bank through NaCSA, with ACC providing the grievance redress support to the program and Rokel Commercial Bank making the direct cash payment to beneficiaries.
The payment being monitored is in Pejeh Town, Pejeh Chiefdom, Pujehun District.
Addressing beneficiaries, DC Ngobie emphasized the funds should be used for the intended purposes to uplift these people from their state of poverty and vulnerability.
Mr. Ngobie told all that, not a cent should be given to any Chiefdom authority or persons who will claim to have made it possible for the individual to get the payment.
In his short statement, Mr. Sandi urged beneficiaries to report any act of corruption to the ACC immediately to its staff or through the toll free number 515.

The monitoring continues in other chiefdoms/communities in Pujehun, Bonthe and Bo Districts.
