DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

EMMANUEL KOIVAYA AMARA ESQ.

Emmanuel Koivaya Amara Esq. was born on the 27th October, 1977. He completed his preparatory education in Bo, Southern Sierra Leone, and his early secondary education at the Ahmadiyya Secondary School, in Bo as well.

He later progressed to the Bo Government Secondary School where he did his General Certificate Education Ordinary and Advanced Levels examinations successfully.

He further enrolled at the Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone, (USL), where he graduated in 2002, with a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in Linguistics. At the same University, he earned his Law Learned Bacaluret (LLB) in 2011 and successfully passed his Bar Final Examinations in 2012.

Mr. Amara was employed at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) in 2003, as a Transcriber, and a Researcher with the Report External Actions. He lectured English Language and Linguistics at the then Milton Margai Teachers’ College, now Milton Margai Technical University (MMTU) up until 2005.

In 2005, he joined the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) as Investigations Officer. He then rose to the position of Legal Officer, Assistant Prosecutor and Prosecutor at the ACC after his Law degree.

In 2018, he was promoted to the position of Director of Operations, at the Anti-Corruption Commission, a position he currently holds.
