1. JOB VACANCY ANTI - CORRUPTION COMMISSION The Anti - Corrupt ion Commission is seeking out suitably qualified Sierra Leonean s to fill the under - mentioned position s . JOB TITLE : ESTATES/FACILITIES OFFICER LOCATION: FREETOWN REPORTS TO: ESTATES/FACILITIES MANAGER MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB : To provide support in the maintenance of the Commission’s estates ensuring buildings, fittings and grounds are well maintained and in good operation Main Responsibilities: To regularly inspect facility’s grounds (building structures and surrounding areas) to know when an area needs any attention and report findings to the Estates Manager for prompt action. To generally upkeep the Commission’s facilities, equipment and installations and makes report of any defect. To t ake the lead in ensuring that buildings and grounds are clean and safe from emergencies such as fires or natural disaster damage. To ensure maintenance of grounds, buildings and engineering installations. To assist in assessing space requirements and real location of furniture and equipment. To take the lead in managing parking lots and ensure that they are being strictly followed and report to the Estate Manager where there are problems. To closely monitor the work of architects and engineers and other tec hnical operations, modifications and renovations. To prepare monthly reports on the status of the estates for the attention of the Estate Manager. To organize and check repairs and maintenance to ensure they are properly done and report findings to the Est ate Manager. To take the lead in making sure properties are well maintained and provide adequate returns on investment. To organize and check repairs and maintenance of installations and monitor buildings or engineering works. To make sure that properties are being used for their intended purpose. To prepare maintenance requests as required and forward to the Estate Manager for action. To conduct regular checks on facilities highlighting any concerns to the Estates Manager.
2. To check equipment installed for the health and safety of staff are in proper order and are operational. To provide support in maintaining a productive and comfortable environment by ensuring that all aspects of the Commission’s installations operate effectively and efficiently. To undert ake any other duty that may be assigned by the Estate Manager. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or professional qualification in estate management and/or professional experience Must be computer literate EXPERIENCE : At least 3 years working experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified. COMPETENCIES : Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to establish effective business relationships with staff and clients. Strong organizational and coordinat ing skills Knowledge in business practices and procedures Knowledge of general maintenance requirements for buildings, to include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs. Good analytical skills. Good communication skills Have good computer skills. Have good presentation and coordination skills. Be able to cope well with pressure.
